The PARA variant was specifically designed for airborne, armored infantry, and close-quarters combat (CQC) operations, featuring a shorter barrel and a collapsible buttstock for enhanced maneuverability. It retains all the key features of the FN M249 SAW and can be converted back to the standard configuration in just 30 seconds. This model comes with a 16.1-inch FN cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and operates from a closed-bolt position. Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, the M249S Para is compatible with both magazines and linked ammunition belts.
